Danny Russel Damron 66 of Roanoke passed away Saturday February 27, 2016 surrounded by his family. His parents, Stuart, and Macy Damron preceded him.
Danny was a Coal Miner, a position he was proud of, working in the mines for 23 years, and a business owner for 10 years. Being an avid hunter and fisherman, when he had the time, that is where you would find him outdoors where he just loved being.
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Darlene Damron; two sons, Russell and wife Bridgett, and David and wife Jennifer; two grandsons, Lucas and Warren Damron. Along with four sisters, and three brothers.
Danny was one of twelve children. He was larger than life and made an impact on all who knew him. A very loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be dearly missed by all.
A funeral service celebrating Danny’s life will be held 7:00pm Tuesday March 1, 2016 in Simpson Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Glenn Sluss officiating. Family will receive friends from 6:00p, until service time Tuesday at the funeral Home. Interment will be private.
