Rita Webb of Roanoke peacefully went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, February 11, 2016. She was preceded by her parents, Troy and Pearl Holland Brooks.Rita was known to all as a generous, giving Christian lady. She was a poet, writer and art teacher. Additionally, she helped lead a group of home school students in an outreach ministry to the patients at Carrington Place Nursing Home.Surviving are her husband of 38 years, Mitchell K. Webb; brothers, Roy Burns, Jr. and Jim Burns; cousin, Brenda Mitchell.The family offers a special thank you to the many friends and church family members for their many kind deeds during Rita's illness.A celebration of Rita's life will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, February 18, 2016 at New Covenant Assembly of God 2922 King Street N.E. by Pastor Jesse Bass. The family will receive friends just prior to and following the service. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home & Crematory. 366-0707
