Obituary of Carley Aydlette Palazzola

Carley Aydlette Palazzola 91 of Roanoke formerly of Portsmouth, Va. went to be with her Lord and Savior, Thursday December 31, 2015. She was preceded by her mother, Cassie Hinnant of South Norfolk, VA., brother, Robert Aydlette of Portsmouth, Va, and her husband of 58 years, Anthony D. Palazzola of Brooklyn, N.Y. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and traveled with her husband throughout their lives together with the Military. She enjoyed volunteering while in the military with different organizations and was an avid animal lover and sports enthusiast. In addition, was a member of Court Street Baptist Church of Portsmouth, Va. She is leaving behind until we are together again her son Anthony R. Palazzola, and daughter-in-law, Oletha S. Palazzola; grandsons, Aric A. Palazzola and wife Caitlyn Palazzola, all of Roanoke; and Ian R. Palazzola and partner Clara Klein of San Francisco, CA. An outstanding mother, grandmother, and my best friend, she loved and cherished her son, daughter-in-law and grandsons, as they were a big part of her life and she will be dearly missed by all every day. Being an avid animal lover, in lieu of flowers, she had requested that memorials be made to her local animal shelter, the Portsmouth Humane Society. Family especially wants to thank family, friends and neighbors as well as the Staff at Carilion for so much loving support and care during Mom’s declining health. God’s Blessings to you all.
