Obituary of Joseph Alexander Morrow

Joseph Alexander "Joe" Morrow, Jr. 76, of Roanoke passed into everlasting peace on, Tuesday, December 29, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph A. and Mary Doherty Morrow and a brother, Stephen Morrow of Jacksonville, Fla. Mr. Morrow was a graduate of the University of Louvain in Belgium and studied at the American University in Rome. His life long desire to learn was evident in his passion for languages and dialects, and enjoyed caring for the needs of others above his own.He was a former employee of Blue Cross/Blue Shield, United Health Care, and AARP of Roanoke, and served as a volunteer counselor with Trust House Homeless Shelter. Surviving are his sons, Joseph Alexander Morrow, III, of Pittsburgh, PA, and Mark Stephen Morrow and wife Kimberly Anne of Roanoke; sisters, Ann Nelson and husband Scott of Thousand Oaks, CA, Mary Pat Desloge and husband George of Tallahassee, Fla., and numerous beloved grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
