Roy Devon Lynch, Jr., 71, of Roanoke, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, December 20, 2015. Mr. Lynch served in the United States Navy during the Cuban Missile Crisis and was a member of the Vinton Moose Lodge.Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Joyce Jordan Lynch; children, Debbie Akers and husband Bobby, Darrell Bell, PeeWee Bell and wife Brenda; and Roy D. Lynch, III; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; sisters, Adrian Simmons and husband Dalton, Nita Wright, Delphia Martin, Teresa Betts, and Donna Pritchett; sister-in-law, Donna Bray; and a number of nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, December 26, 2015 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and following the service. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home, 540-366-0707.
