Obituary of Mary Jane Clary

Mary Jane Clary 90 of Roanoke passed away Saturday December 5 2015. Her husband Shelton Lewis Clary preceded her.
Mrs. Clary was a lifelong member of the Oakland Baptist Church. She retired after many years of service helping others as a LPN at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. In her retirement, she volunteered at the YWCA and at Friendship Health and Rehab as a Water Aerobics Instructor for many years.
Surviving are her children, daughters, Loisellen Barlow and Shelley Clement; a son, Alexander “Smitty” Clary and wife Heather all of Roanoke; eight grandchildren, along with three great grandchildren.
The family would like to give their greatest gratitude to the staff at Good Samaritan Hospice and Our Lady of the Valley Retirement Community for all their care and support during this difficult time.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the ASPCA, or Good Samaritan Hospice would be appreciated.
Family will receive friends on Thursday December 10, 2015 from 6:00-8:00pm at Simpson Funeral Home. Inurnment will be private.
