Derek Kevin Cole, 28, of Roanoke, went home to be with the Lord Friday, December 4, 2015. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, John R. Cole and John E. Corprew Jr.
Surviving are his daughter, Ava Kay Marie Goode; mother, Kimberly D. Corprew; father, Dale Kevin Cole; brothers, Chad, Jon, and Aidan Cole, and Brycen Adkinson; sister, Elizabeth Cole; step father, Brian Smith; grandparents, Jean (Troy) Bowman, and Jetta Cole; uncles, Wayne Corprew, Dwayne Cole, and Darrian Cole; aunts, Ramona Corprew, and Darena Wagner; and his devoted canine companion, Vega.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, December 7, 2015, at Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road, by Pastor David Tuell. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Simpson Funeral Home.
