Tammie Lynne Dew Obenshain, 44, of Roanoke-Salem, went home to be with our Heavenly Father on Sunday, November 15, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. She had experienced a lengthy bout of pain and suffering following a rare spinal disease.
She was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Gladys Stanley of Williamsville, Va. and Rose Blossom Dew of Salem.
Her grieving family left to mourn are her grandfather, Frank Stanley of Williamsville; parents, Gene and Pat Dew of Salem; husband, E.B.; children, Scott, Jordan and wife Alexa, and Deanna; and step daughters, Sarah and Emily. There are very special friends left that she especially wanted to mention; Crista Coffman, of Charlotte, NC, forever her twin; Lesa Meadows, of Roanoke, forever her best friend; Rob Tackett, of Roanoke, forever her brother; Walter Ryals of Washington State, a great friend; Randy Falls. a friend forever; and Gracie and Bailey, the best furry, most loyal, babies ever to love her; and finally to the Salem High School Class of '89, always family; always loved.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Association 26 Broadway 14th Floor New York, New York 10004.
