Obituary of Sandra Kay Noel

Sandra Kay Noel, 74 of Roanoke, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday November 3, 2015. Born and raised in Bedford County, she was preceded in death by her parents, Elbert W. and Kathryn Stanley Noel, and a brother, Kenneth W. Noel. Ms. Noel was a member and past board member of the Bedford Genealogical Society, Inc. and enjoyed researching genealogy for her own family and others who wanted to learn about their family ancestors. She particularly enjoyed working with her good friend, Carole Lacy, of the Society. Left to cherish her memory are her son, Brian Abbott of Roanoke; a nephew, Daniel Noel of Bedford; and a host of other relatives and dear friends. The family would like to thank Drs. David Buck and Stephen Rosenoff of Blue Ridge Cancer Care and Dr. Robert Keeley for their care of Ms. Noel. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation in her memory to the Bedford Genealogical Society, Inc., P.O. Box 1439, Bedford, Virginia 24523, or a charity of choice. A private burial will be held at a later date.
