Obituary of Warren Russell Spencer

Warren R. "Fuzzy" Spencer, 86, of Roanoke went to join his wife Inge in Heaven Saturday, October 31, 2015. In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Stella Spencer.
Warren was a former employee of Hennis Freight Lines, Russell Transfer and retired from the V A Medical Center in Salem. He proudly served his country in the U S Army during World War II.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Darline Couch, Luise Spencer, and Warren R. Spencer, Jr.; grandchildren, Shay Chauvin, Heidi Miller, Warren Russell Spencer, III and Caleb Spencer; brother, William Spencer; and numerous great grandchildren.
The family offers their special thanks to Lisa Bradford and Dr. Woods in the Mental Health Department at the V A Medical Center for their many acts of kindness.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
A graveside service will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, November 2, 2015 in Old Dominion Memorial Gardens. There will be no visitation. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home. 366-0707
