Mary Carr Miller, 94, of Roanoke, Va., passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2015. She was retired from Maid Bess of Salem with 46 years of service.
Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her husbands, Harry Ellsworth Carr and Walter R. Miller. She was a member of Forest Park Baptist Church.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Harry E. (Eddie) and Libby Carr of Vinton; step son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Sharon Miller of Roanoke; granddaughter and husband, Laura Lee and David Griffith of Palm Coast, Fla.; step granddaughter and husband, Elizabeth and Ricky Wong of Richmond; step grandson and wife, Gregory and Kim Williams of Charlotte, N.C.; great-grandsons, Jacob C. Griffith and Ryan C. Griffith of Palm Coast, Fla.; step great-granddaughter, Stephanie Williams of Roanoke; sister-in-law, Liz Clark of Roanoke; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to St. Francis Service Dogs, 8232 Enon Drive, Roanoke, VA 24019.
Funeral Services will be conducted at noon on Wednesday, October 7, 2015, at Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road by Pastor Rayshon Cobbs.
Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 6, 2015, at Simpson Funeral Home, 540-366-0707.
