Mary Lee "Togie" Taylor, 98, of Roanoke went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, September 3, 2015. She was born September 26, 1919 in Radford, Virginia, grew up in Dublin, and moved to Roanoke in 1952. She was preceded in death by her husbands, William Wallace Durham and Roland L. Taylor, a son, James N. Smith, and a son-in-law, Robert "Bob" English. Mrs. Taylor worked as a secretary for Bill Gates in his hearing aid business and was a member of the Dorcas Sunday School Class at North Roanoke Baptist Church. Surviving are her daughter, Nancy S. English; daughter-in-law, Dotty F. Smith; grandchildren, Carolyn Williams and husband Ben, and Michael English; great granddaughters, Grace and Claire Williams. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to North Roanoke Baptist Church 6402 Peters Creek Road Roanoke, Va. 24019 The family extends a special thanks to the staff at the Richfield Recovery and Care Center for their many acts of kindness and compassion. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, September 6, 2015 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road by the Rev. Jake Roudebush. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home. 366-0707
