James Edward "Jim" Parker 60 of Roanoke went to be with the Lord on Wednesday August 5, 2015. His parents, William and Maggie Parker, preceded him.
Surviving are his wife, Jean Parker; two daughters, Monica Brady and husband Benjamin of Murfreesboro, TN., and Katie Craig and husband Alex of Salem; two grandchildren, Nate Parker and Olivia Brady, Along with a host of other relatives.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association in his memory.
A graveside service will be held 2:30pm Sunday August 9, 2015 in the Mausoleum in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens with Pastor Sam Belisle officiating.
Family will receive friends Sunday before the service at Simpson Funeral Home from 1:00pm-2:00pm.
