Lloyd Edward Smith, 60, of Boones Mill, born April, 18, 1952, in Salisbury, MD., passed away peacefully at home on April 26, 2012, after a long battle with Melanoma Cancer. He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph; and devoted grandparents, Arietta and Lester Wilkins and Blanche and Edward Smith. Ed is survived by his wife, Peggy Hagan Smith; son, Michael; daughter, Jamie and mother, Mary Florence Smith Zeibel. His passions in life included airplanes, Race cars and traveling. A special thank you to neighbors and friends for all their support during this time. Friends my visit with the family Thursday, May 3, 2012 from 5 to 7 at Simpson Funeral Home. A service celebrating Ed's life is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, June 9, 2012 near Salisbury, MD. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Melanoma Research Foundation, American Cancer Society or EAA, Chapter 431, PO Box 304, Brodhead, WI. 53520 in his name.Friends may send their condolences to the family at www.simpsonfuneral.com.
