Obituary of Henry Edward Wiesen

Henry Edward "Hank" Wiesen, 86 , of Vinton passed away Friday, July 24, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Marguerite Wiesen. Hank was a graduate of the High School of the Arts in New York City. He served in the Army during the Korean War. He was known as an excellent painter, a master at telling a good joke, and a lover of boating. Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Virginia Catherine Wiesen; son, Kent Bartley and wife Rhonda; granddaughter, Lauren Bartley; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Guy and Joan Moyers; sister-in-law, Wanda Morgan; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Noon on Monday, July 27, 2015 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road by the Rev. James M. Smith. Entombment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
