Obituary of Harless Gregory Duncan

Greg Duncan, 64, of Roanoke passed away Monday, July 13, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harless and Kitty Duncan of Troutville and a grandson, Austin Henley.
Greg worked in law enforcement for many years serving first with the Roanoke City Police Department, and then retiring from the Norfolk Southern Police Department.
Surviving are his Fiancée, Patty Fisher; children, Shane Duncan (Kim); Christie York (Scott); grandchildren, Taylor Duncan, Anna Henley, Kenzie, Riley, Mayson and Brayden Duncan; brother, Dennis Duncan; sisters, Jane Wertz, Judy Williams, Jill Crofton( Kelly); numerous nieces and nephews; and his very, very special friend, Maddie.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
A celebration of Greg's life will be held 11 a.m. Friday, July 17, 2015 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road. The Rev. Kendall Johnson will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Simpson Funeral Home. 366-0707
