Jimmy L. Murray, Jr., 48, of Roanoke, passed away, Thursday, July 9, 2015. He was preceded in death by his mother, Gladys Murray Thompson, and his grandparents, Frank and Mamie Wray. He is survived by his daughter, Brittani Murray, granddaughter, Callie Murray, and a special aunt, Shirley Light; as well as numerous, aunts, uncles, and cousins. The family wishes to thank the tenants at Oak Hill Apartments for their concern, help, and love shown to the family at this difficult time. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 15, 2015, at 7 p.m. at Parkway Wesleyan Church with Pastor Mike Lauridsen officiating. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home & Crematory. (540)366-0707.
