Peggy Wood Walker, 78, of Roanoke passed away Monday, July 6, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, William E. and Ouida R. Wood as well as her first husband, Robert Lee Lilly. Peggy was a lifelong resident of Roanoke. Following a successful career in banking, she was employed for many years by Lanford Brothers Contractors. She was a longtime member of Northminster Presbyterian Church. Surviving are her husband, Harley A. Walker; daughter and son-in-law, Leigh Ann and Mark Moran; grandchildren, Sean Moran and fiancée' Rachel Fieweger, and Colin Moran. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to Angels of Assisi 415 Campbell Avenue Roanoke, Va. 24015. Everyone is welcome to attend a graveside service that will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday, July 10, 2015 in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. A celebration of Peggy's life will follow at 3 p.m. in Northminster Presbyterian Church 3911 Greenland Avenue with Dr. Russ Merritt officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road. 366-0707
