Edna (Eddi) Lee Clarke Snyder, 76, of Lexington, passed away,Thursday June 18, 2015. Beloved wife of Gary E. Snyder; loving mother of Sherri Dodson (Bobby Merulla), Cindy Eberly (Bruce), and Brett Snyder (Cathy). Loving grandmother of Jana, Jason, Lauren, Jessica, Jordan, Andrew, and Bradley, and great-grandmother of five. Preceded in death by her parents, Ethel and Samuel Clarke. Sister to Milton Clarke (Mary Ellen) and Glenna Hidalgo (John Del Gobbo). Born and lived in the Lexington, VA area, then moved to northern Virginia, where she lived and raised her family for 40 years. She retired with the love of her life back to Lexington in 1997 where she lived happily on Deck Mountain/Jack Daniels Lane until her passing. Her life in Lexington was spent active in the church, volunteering with the local hospice, serving friends and neighbors in need, and she enjoyed line and square dancing. Services will be held on June 30, 2015 at 2pm at the Ebenezer ARP Church in Lexington, VA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Rockbridge area Hospice where Eddi volunteered for many years.
