Obituary of Leonard Monroe Trout, Jr.

Leonard Monroe “Pee Wee” Trout, Jr. 74 of Roanoke went to be with the Lord on Saturday May 23, 2015. He was preceded by his parents, Leonard M. Trout, Sr. and Rose A. Cline Trout, niece, Shannon Trout Hughes, and a brothers, Gerald Trout, and James Atkins. Mr. Trout proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era, retired after 38 years of Driving for Blue Ridge Transfer. After retirement he volunteered his time helping other veterans at the Salem Veterans Medical Centre. A very loving and caring uncle, brother, friend he will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Left to cherish his memory are his four brothers, Doug Trout and wife Susan of Roanoke, Harold “Pat” Trout and wife Judy of Connecticut, Earl R. Trout of Roanoke, Kenneth Trout and wife Shirley of Shawsville; along with a host of other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a Veterans Organization or to the Diabetes Association in Mr. Trout’s memory. A memorial service celebrating “Pee Wee’s” life will be 11:00am Saturday June 13, 2015 in Simpson Funeral Home with Pastor Benjamin “Pete” Trout officiating. Family will receive friends an hour before service. Inurnment will follow in Fair View Cemetery with Military Honors.
