Harold Lee Toney 66 of Roanoke entered Heaven’s Gates on Monday May 18, 2015 after a long illness. Harold was born to his parents, Saint Paul and May Francis Toney in Franklin County on September 30, 1948.
Harold attended Lee M. Waid School and graduated from the Franklin County High School. He proudly served in the United States Army as a Medic. Also retired from Cundiff Trucking in 2012 after years of service.
Left to cherish his memory are his life companion, Deborah Vaughn, and her four children; sisters, Geraldine Basham (James Larry), Pauline McCoy (Lester); a brother, Johnson Toney; nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and dear friends.
A funeral service celebrating Harold’s life will be held 2:00pm Friday May 22, 2015 in Simpson Funeral Home with Rev. Connie Lee officiating. Friends may visit with the family an hour before the service on Friday. Friends may send their condolences to the family by visiting www.simpsonfuneral.com.
