Austin Troy Henley, 16, of Moneta lost his courageous battle with heart failure on Friday, May 15, 2015. Austin has inspired so many with his sweet smile and infectious personality. His wonderful spirit and love for life will live on forever within our hearts. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Robin Wheeler.
Surviving are his parents, Troy Henley, Christie and Scott York; sisters, Anna Henley, Bella Mabery, Angela York, Sarah Dooley and husband Luke; grandparents, Greg Duncan and fiancée Patty Fisher; Judy Branscome, Bob Henley; aunts and uncles, Shane and Kim Duncan, James and Sissy Henley, Tracy and Kim Henley; numerous cousins, and friends too numerous to mention.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to COTA (Children's Organ Transplant Association) 2501 COTA Drive Bloomington, IN 47403.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road by the Rev. Kendall Johnson. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Simpson Funeral Home. 366-0707
