Obituary of Donald Lee Gibson
Donald Lee Gibson, 84, of Roanoke, VA., went to be with the Lord on August 2, 2022 at the Virginia Veterans Care Center. Donald was born in Botetourt County, the son of the late Wiltsie and Violet Gibson. Donald served in the U.S. Air Force and was a disabled veteran. He lived most of his adult life near Myrtle Beach, SC. Donald was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert Jack, Benny, Maynard; sister, Ruby.
He is survived by his brother, Wayne; sister, Phyllis; son, Billy; as well as many nieces and nephews.
A service celebrating his life will be held at 5 p.m. on Friday, August 26, 2022 in the Chapel of Simpson Funeral Home with Pastor Jonge Tate officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The family would like to say a special thank you to the Virginia Veterans Care Center and Good Samaritan Hospice for the care that was given to Donald.
