Obituary of Patricia Ann Flora
Patricia Ann Hayes Flora, 75, wife of William J. Flora, Jr., went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 5, 2022. She was the daughter of Thelma Holly Hayes and the late Earl G. Hayes.
Pat or “Queen Bee” as she was affectionately known, was a native of Roanoke. She worked as the Office Manager for an Electrical Contractor for more than 40 years. She was a member of Parkway Wesleyan Church. She loved her family fiercely and her greatest joy was being surrounded by them.
In addition to her husband of 55 years, William J. Flora, Jr., she will be missed and remembered by her daughter, Melody Flora Smither and her husband Eric W. Smither; grandson, Jacob W. Smither; siblings, Ronnie Hayes, Michael Hayes (Cheryl), Jackie Hayes (Judy); sisters-in-law, Esther Howery, Brenda Hayes; nieces and nephews, Jeremy Hayes (Jessica), J.W. Howery (Meagan), William Hayes (Brittney), Elijah Dawson, Dennis Hayes (Kristy), Joey Hayes (Jenny), Katrina Reitzel, Melissa Smith (Patrick); as well as several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1 pm on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens with Rev. Mike Lauridsen officiating. The family will speak to guest following the service.
The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff of the 7 South CCU unit at Roanoke Memorial Hospital, especially Andra and Matt for the love and care that was shown to them.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX 75231.
