Obituary of Martha D. Wright
Martha Dalton Wright, 90, widow of Donald O. Wright went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 9, 2021. She was born in Roanoke and was the daughter of the late Tillman and Lelia Beck Dalton. She was also preceded in death by siblings, Kyle Dalton (Ethel), Mary “Sis” Chisom (James), Rebecca Masse and Gary Lee Dalton; brother-in-law, Howard Stump.
Martha will be missed and remembered by her children, Jerry Stultz (Pat), Debbie Tlockowski (Dick), Donetta Sweeney (Roger), Kyle Wright and Marlo Countiss (Rob); 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; sister, Rachel Stump; brothers-in-law, Don Masse and David Wright; as well as numerous other family members.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, November 14, 2021 in the Chapel of Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Rd. with Rev. Greg Fleshman officiating. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1 pm to 2 pm at Simpson Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial donations be made to Good Samaritan Hospice, 2408 Electric Road, Roanoke, VA 24018.
