Obituary of Robert Monroe Clarke
Robert Monroe Clarke passed peacefully on November 3, 2021. Robert was born on October 2, 1944 in Roanoke, Virginia. He graduated from William Flemming High School in 1963 and went on to earn a bachelor degree from Richmond Professional Institute, now known as VCU. Robert made his home in Richmond, Virginia and had a very successful career in marketing and advertising winning many local awards for his work.
Robert is preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Clarke Patterson and her husband Acree Patterson and his father, Robert M. Clarke. He is survived by his sister, Brintha Gibson, sister Judy Barrett and her husband Donald, nephew, Clarke Gibson and his wife Linda, nephew John Gibson and his wife Jeanne and many nieces and nephews that he loved very much. He is also survived by his companion, Diana Persinger.
A graveside service will be held at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 5737 Airport Road, Roanoke, Virginia on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at 11 AM.
