Deborah “Debbie” Lynn Freyman was a caring grandmother, mother, sister, nurse, teacher and friend. She was born in Pennsylvania on August 26, 1953 to the late Russell L. She served in the Navy and committed her life to serving others as a Nurse and Nursing Instructor.

She was married to the late Robert W. Freyman, Jr. and will be dearly missed by her 3 children; Christina, Jenny and Rachel; 7 grandchildren, Aiden, Liam, Wells, Greg, Mabel, Julia and Frances; brother, Russ and sister, Carolyn.

Debbie loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, knitting, gardening, baking an inordinate amount of cookies at Christmas time, spending time around water and teaching nursing students. She was generous, thoughtful and kind. Her hugs, laughter and wisdom will forever be missed.

Debbie’s family will hold a private memorial service at sea on Friday, August 6, 2021.  Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to Virginia Western Community College - Nursing Program at https://www.virginiawestern.edu/giving/give-now/ and National Park College, Division of Nursing, 101 College Drive, Hot Springs National Park, Arkansas, 71913. The family welcomes expressions of sympathy, which can be made at www.simpsonfuneral.com.
