So sad to lose such a fine man as Gene! Such a great father and devoted husband. He will be missed by family and so many friends and acquaintances! God bless Gene and his family! Rest in peace dear soul!

Gene and I worked together as bridge inspectors for a number of years at VDOT. While we did not always agree with each other, it was inspiring to see what he was able to accomplish at the Spirit Wind project through hard work and determination.
