Thomas W. “Pop” Dooley, 78, of Troutville, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2017. He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Thelma M. Dooley. He is survived by his daughter Sheree and husband Scottie Cline, of Troutville; sons, James A Dooley of Eagle Rock and Dale A. Dooley and wife Tysone, of Troutville; grandchildren Brandon and wife Alisha, Brian “Shim” Dooley, Josh Bocanegra and wife Benita, Andrew Dooley, Madelyn Dooley, and Ethan Dooley; great-grandchildren, Emily Dooley, Blaine Dooley, Brooklyn Dooley, Ryan Bocanegra. The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 14, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. at Simpson Funeral Home. A celebration of Tommy’s life will be Sunday, March 19, 2017 at 3 p.m. at Coling Baptist Church, with Rev. Mike Hogan and Rev. Jimmy Harris officiating. In lieu of flowers the family ask donations be made to Coling Baptist Church in his name, 54 Spring Hollow Road Troutville Va. 24175. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home & Crematory. (540)366-0707.
