Obituary of Virginia Farrar

Virginia Lynch Walker Weiss Farrar, 88, of Roanoke left her earthly home for her heavenly home on Saturday, June 7, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Arthur E. Walker, Marion Oscar Weiss, and Alvin G. Farrar; parents, Roy and Hester Fringer: grandson, James E. Walker Jr.; brothers, James "Jimmy" and Charles "Charlie" Lynch; and several half-brothers and half-sisters. Mrs. Farrar was a member of Waverly Place Baptist Church. Surviving are her children. James Edward Walker, Sr. and wife, Lorene, of Troutville; John E. Weiss and wife, Sandy, of Bedford; Patricia L. Dudley and fiancé, Joseph Westbrook, of Boones Mill; grandchildren, Teresa and Barry Kinzie, Virginia Darlene McLaughlin and husband, Ed, Chassidy Hope West, and husband, Chris, Chris L. Weiss and fiancé, Kim Wolford, Michelle Renee Anderson and husband, Ross; great grandchildren, Michael and Matthew Morris, Charity Gaylor, Ian McLaughlin, Damion and Desirhea West. Brent Weis, Jason and Jordan Arnold. Jayden Anderson. Peyton Weiss, Hayden Wolford, Parker and Hunter Weiss, and Jamie Cawley; great-great-grandchildren, Drew Morris, Xavier and Gabryle Weden; brother, Roy Lynch, and wife Rita, of Roanoke; sister Bessie Perdue, of Rocky Mount; half sister, Evelyn Peggins and husband, Clyde, of Franklin County; half-brother, Gary Lynch, of Roanoke; sister-in-law, Peggy Cadd; numerous nieces and nephews and a special friend Conrad Shepherd, of Roanoke. Funeral Services will be conducted 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road, by the Rev. Tony Ward. The family will receive friend one hour prior to the service.
