Paul W. Wertz, 30, of Wirtz passed away Friday, May 9, 2014. He was preceded in death by his paw paw, John Trail and a cousin, April Trail. Surviving are his wife, April Wertz; step children, Autumn and Crystal Robertson, mother, Tina Bates, father, John K. Wertz, grandmother, Chris Trail, brother, John F. Wertz, mother in law, Linda Barber, father in law, Jerry Flowers, Sr.; brothers in law, Jerry Flowers, Jr. and Gerald "Herbie" Flowers, aunt and uncle Vickie and David Mason. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road by Pastor David Jones. Interment will follow in the family cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Simpson Funeral Home. 366-0707
