Mary Hodges Overton 82 of Rocky Mount, went to be with the Lord on Friday April 11, 2014.
Surviving are her loving husband of 44 years, James Madison Overton; her son, James "Ricky" Overton; grandsons, Logan Trevor Overton, and Ryan Walker Overton; sister, Katheleen "Tootsie" Holland; a special niece and caregiver, Paulette Young, all of Rocky Mount; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Carilion Hospice of Franklin County or to her church Henry Fork Church of the Brethren in her name.
A memorial service celebrating Mrs. Overton's life will be held 7:00pm Friday, April 18, 2014 at Henry Fork Church of the Brethren with Pastor Ronald Coleman officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 6:00pm till service time Friday at the church. Friends may send their condolences to the family by visiting www.simpsonfuneral.com.
