Sherry Lynn Roden Ferguson, 51, of Roanoke went home to be with the Lord Sunday, March 16, 2014. She was preceded in death by a number of family members and loved ones including her soul mate Eric (Pops) Sutphin. Surviving are her children, Heather, Brittany, and Jeremiah Simpson; nine grandchildren, brothers, Eddie and Walter Roden and sister, Debbie Bobbitt; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members. A celebration of Sherry's life will be held 7 p.m. Friday March 21, 2014 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. Friday until service time.
