Douglas "Dug" Patrick Duschean, 55, of Roanoke passed away Sunday, March 16, 2014 after a lengthy illness. He was preceded in death by his father Joseph "Jake" Duschean and a brother David. Douglas was a diehard University of Virginia Cavaliers and Green Bay Pakcers Fan. His early professional years were spent in radio as an on the air personality. He later worked as a cashier at Kroger in Hollins where he always enjoyed his old friends coming throught his check out line. surviving are his mother, Aileen Blankenship Duschean; sisters, Teresa Duschean and Tracy Williams and husband Tom; brother, Darren Duschean all of Roanoke; nephews, Jacob and Alec Williams. In lieu of flowers the family requestst that memorials be made to a charity of the donor's choice. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road. 366-0707
