Judy Hall Sailor, 69, of Roanoke went home to be with the Lord, Monday, March 17, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur C. and Myrtle Saunders Hall and grandparents, Grace Cundiff, Forest Saunders, Liddy Ann Chitwood and John Jacob Sylvester Hall. Judy was a 1962 graduate of Franklin County High School and attended Ferrum College. She retired from the Norfolk Southern Corporation after thirty four years of service. Judy was a devoted Virginia Tech Hokie fan. In addition to her love for the Hokies, she was an avid golfer and a member of the Red Hat Society. Surviving are her husband, Joe Sailor, daughter, Amy Stephenson, stepdaughters, Theresa Peterson and husband Ed, Debbie Daniel; grandchldren, Jacob, Luke, Shelby and Michael Peterson, and Sammy Daniel; step mother, Mary W. Hall of Martinsville; sister, Agnes Hall Hodges of Rocky Mount; nephews, Mark, Kenneth, and Michael Hodges; niece, Lisa Meador, four grand nieces, two grand nephews, four great grand nephews. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to a charity of the donors choice. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday, March 21, 2014 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road by Pastor Tommy FiGart, Ed Peterson, and Ruth Ann Sexton. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Simpson Funeral Home. 366-0707
