Marillee (Lee Lee) Chafin 57 of Roanoke passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2014. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Broughman Arthur, brothers, David Wayne Fink, and James Richard Arthur, and niece Angela Presley Rowland. Surviving are her husband of 21 years, Barry W. Chafin; children, Brian Jeffery Shell, Jennifer Nicole Hanger, Sumer Chafin and husband Justin Alls; sisters, Sandra Arthur Presley, Patricia Arthur Khaled; father-in-law, Gilbert W. Chafin and wife Doris; brothers-in-law, Gilbert Michael Chafin and wife Sylvia; Stuart Chafin and wife Kristy; special aunt, Audrey Rose Jennings; numerous nieces and nephews including special nieces and cargivers, Kimberly Spradlin and Heather Reed, special nephew, Layth Tawalbeh; special friends, Rowene, Krista, and Mandy; special neighbors, Charlie and Twila Briscoe and other friends and family members too numerous to mention. The family offers a special thanks to the staff at Medi Home Health and Hospice for their many acts of kindness and compassion. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road. Interment will be in Old Dominion Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 9 a.m. until service time. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home. 366-0707
