Obituary of Stacy Danielle McClure

Stacy Danielle Keith McClure, age 38, of Roanoke County, passed away November 23, 2013 after a two year bout with terminal cancer. She is now enjoying no pain and all gain with Jesus, her Savior. Stacy was a 1993 graduate of Northside High School. Stacy is survived by her husband, Donald "DK" McClure, III; her son, Brandon Cundiff; her daughter, Haylee Keith; and her parents, David and Lou Anne Keith, all of Roanoke County. She is also survived by her brother, Justin Keith and his wife Nancy, and baby daughter, Charlotte Stacy, who live in Colorado. Also leaves behind loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. Along with special friends, who were there to assist her when she needed it by visiting and giving her their love and support. Lastly, she leaves behind the most spoiled dog in the world, Serta, who loved Stacy dearly and vice versa and provided that comfort that only a loving pet can give. We are so thankful to her Oncologist, Dr. Suzan Merten, who supported Stacy every step of the way and never gave up, her staff Jolie and Amy, Dr Robert Heath who handled her radiation, and the rest of the staff at Blue Ridge Cancer Center who helped Stacy at one time or the other. We are also thankful for all of the doctors and nurses at Roanoke Memorial who assisted Stacy, from the ER to the surgical staff. And lastly, the 10th floor Oncology staff who Stacy spent as much time with them as she did at home with her family. They were wonderful to her and we so love and appreciate them, as did Stacy. In lieu of flowers, Stacy would be pleased to have you donate to American Cancer Society, Samaritan's Purse, or Roanoke Rescue Mission. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 5, 2013 from 5:00 to 7:00pm, with a celebration of life service to follow at 7:00pm, led by her Pastor, Ken Nienke, of Fellowship Community Church. We thank God for the years we had Stacy in our lives as a daughter, wife, and mother. These past two years have been life changing for all of us and we have seen God at work in mighty ways. He has uplifted us through our church, family, friends, and work and we are so grateful for all the love, support, and prayers that we have received during this time.
