Obituary of Linda Richards

Linda C. Richards 62 of Roanoke went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 15, 2013. She was preceded by her parents, Ellen H. and Jessie M. Shelor and a brother Larry S. Shelor. Linda love to sing, you would find her singing as she attended to the flowers in her garden. She was a member of Virginia Heights Baptist Church and was active in the choir, and helped out with any activity or group that needed help though out the church. Linda also enjoyed crocheting and made many special things for others. A loving and caring wife, mother, sister, friend, and person she will be dearly missed by all. Surviving are her loving and caring husband of 20 years, Charles T. Richards; son, Jeff Cash and wife Lisette; a grandson, Daniel Hale; sisters, Audrey Maddox and husband Don, Elaine Rigney and husband Mike, Dana Brown and husband Bob, Vickie Clark and husband Gary; sisters-in-law, Mary Wilkinson and husband Paul, Nancy Wells, Barbara Knight; brother-in-law, Vaughn Richards; along with numerous nieces, nephews, dear friends and her church family. Family would like to thank the staff at Good Samaritan Hospice and Dr. Joseph Lemmer for all their care and support for Linda. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Scleroderma Foundation or a cancer foundation in her memory. A memorial service celebrating Linda's life will be held 11:00am Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at Virginia Heights Baptist Church with Pastor Nelson Harris officiating.
