Leo Sisson Simpson, 90, of Roanoke, passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2013. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Marshall A. and Roxie Manning Sisson; brother, Cleatus Sisson; and husband, Adolphus R. "Sonny" Simpson. She retired from Halmode Apparel as a machine operator. Surviving are her sons, Charles M. Simpson, Allen M. Simpson and wife, Sharon, and Carlton R. Simpson and wife, Kathy, all of Roanoke; grandsons, Bradley J. Simpson and wife, Ashley, Daniel M. Simpson and wife, Gina, all of Roanoke, and Steven R. Simpson, of Irmo, S.C.; sister, Iris S. Hunt, of Salem; her twin sister, Cleo S. DeWeese, of Bent Mountain; and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Hollins Rescue Squad, 7401 Barrens Road, Roanoke, VA 24019. Funeral Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 16, 2013, at Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road by Pastor Joe Klotz. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, November 15, 2013, at Simpson Funeral Home. 540-366-0707.
