Barbara Noell (Bobbie) Heldreth, 83, of Roanoke went to heaven to be reunited with her beloved husband, Joseph F. "Joe" Heldreth, on Wednesday, November 6, 2013. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her mother and father, Walter Evans and Clara V."Toots" Noell, son, James R. Heldreth, daughter, Kathryn Fernatt, and brothers, Joe E. Noell and Phillip Noell. Bobbie was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. Surviving are her sons, Bruce N. Heldreth and wife, Melody, of Albany, Ga.; Ryan D. Heldreth, and wife, Sherri, of Maryland; grandchildren, Michelle Fernatt, Elaine Heldreth, Emily McLeod Dodd, Joseph Fernatt, Timothy Heldreth, and Daniel Heldreth; four great-grandchildren, Kendall Livesay, Clara Heldreth, Caeden Heldreth, and Preston Dodd; sisters, Julia Rush, of Atlanta, Ga., and Jean Richardson, of Roanoke; and very special friends, Cindy and Michael Fox.
The family would like to offer a very special thank you to the entire staff at Emeritus-Roanoke for their many acts of care and compassiion.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Hollins Rescue Squad.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, November 9, 2013, at Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road, by the Rev. Troy Mays. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
