Forrest Wayne Poff, Sr., 62, of Mount Pleasant, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, October 31, 2013. Forrest was preceded in death by his mother Sarah Blanche Poff, and father Oliver Hampton Poff; brothers Neal Poff, Tommy Poff, and sister Earline Wilhelm. Forrest is remembered for his passion for music, love of his dogs, and faith in God, as a member of Green Memorial United Methodist Church. He will be greatly missed but will live on through his son and grandchildren. He is survived by his son F. Wayne Poff, Jr. and wife Julie; grandchildren James, Abby, Michael, and Sarah; brothers Earl Poff and wife Dolly, Harry Poff, and Charles Poff and wife Peggy; sister Lois Greer and husband Bill, and Carol LaPrad. Services will be held Monday, November 4, 2013 at 1 p.m in Simpson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday, November 3, 2013 from 2-5 p.m. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home & Crematory. (540) 366-0707.
