Obituary of Juanita Kesler

Juanita H. Kesler 81 of Roanoke entered the Church Eternal on Wednesday, October 23, 2013. She was preceded by her parents, Ethel R. and Lindsey Hambrick. Mrs. Kesler was a member of Melrose Baptist Church and was a previous member of Air Lee Court Baptist Church. She owned and operated Century 21 AAA Realty for 12 years. Besides her family and friends she loved to travel and seeing new places. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, she will be dearly missed by all. Surviving are her loving and devoted husband of 64 years, Gene Kesler; son, Danny Kessler and wife Carol of New Castle; daughter, Susan Kesler Robertson and husband Shane of Roanoke; grandchildren, Luke Kesler and wife Stephanie, Lindsay Taylor and husband T. J., Chris Robertson of St. Louis, MO., Melissa Blevins of Roanoke; 10 great grandchildren; sisters, Louise Dunford of Roanoke, Annie Necessary of Blacksburg, Elizabeth Dunford of Miami, Betty Sarver of Greensboro; along with several loving nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank family, the faithful members, and Grace Sunday School Class of Melrose Baptist Church, along with Good Samaritan Hospice staff for all their care and support. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in her memory. A service celebrating Mrs. Kesler's life will be held 11:00am Friday October 25, 2013 in Simpson Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Kesler officiating and being assisted by the Rev. Brenda Rowe. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family Thursday, October 24, 2013 from 5:00-8:00pm at the funeral Home.
