Cary Breckinridge Holladay, 82, of Roanoke passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2013. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Miller Holladay and his mother, Virginia Bowyer Holladay, sister, Julia Holladay Gray and brothers, Sammy and Robert Holladay. Surviving are his wife, Julianne Clement James Holladay; daughter, Julie Anne Holladay of Roanoke; grandchildren, Chris and Cary Skelton of Houston, Texas; step children, Steve James and wife Kristen of Dallas, Texas; Allen James and wife Stepheny of China; Danny McCarty of Bedford; Lisa McCarty Natarajan and husband Ganesh of Chantilly; nieces, Cary Gray Kelly, Susan Gray Chambers and Elizabeth Gray. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to North Roanoke Baptist Church 6402 Peters Creek Road Roanoke, Va. 24019. A memorial service will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, September 20, 2013 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road by Dr. Darryl G. Crim. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Simpson Funeral Hoome. 366-0707
