Colene Metz Mullins, 85, of Roanoke went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, September 7, 2013. She was preceded by a son, Jack W. Mullins, II and a daughter, Kelly Sue Mullins Murray. Colene was a former bus driver for Roanoke City Schools and later worked as a transporter for Hertz Rent A Car. Surviving are her husband of 64 years, Jack W. Mullins; sons, William L. Mullins of Roanoke; Donald F. Mullins of Bristol; Mark A. Mullins of Minot, N.D.; numerous grandchildren and one great grandchild. A graveside service will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, September 9, 2013 in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. Sunday at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road. 366-0707
