Obituary of Leslie Hatter Hale

Leslie Hatter Hale of Roanoke died on Sunday, November 26, 2023.  She was preceded in death by her husbands, Ralph E. Martin; Donald C. Hatter (to whom she was married for thirty years); and David Hale (to whom she was married for eighteen years).

Leslie was a devoted and loving wife and mother.  This was her joy and goal in life.  She was a life-long resident of Roanoke, attending Jefferson High School and graduating from the Viaud School and National Business College.  She liked being a stay-at-home mother, enjoyed walking, reading, traveling, movies, working in the yard, and feeding the animals.  She was amember of Greene Memorial United Methodist Church.

Surviving is her son, Rick Martin (Anne) of Virginia Beach; daughters, Leslie Lewis (Will) of Charleston, SC, and Kimberly Hatter of Greensboro.

A private graveside service will be held in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.  Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home.  540 366 0707
