Walter A. Cox 92 of Roanoke, passed away peacefully at home, Saturday, August 3, 2013. He was preceded by his loving wife, Emma "Pat" Cox.
He is survived by daughters, Carol Y. Carroll of Pensacola, Fla., Janet C. Hugeley of Roanoke, and Lee W. Oakes of Salem; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
The family has chosen to honor Mr. Cox's request that flowers be omitted and there will be no visitation or funeral service.
