Obituary of Margaret Breslin

Please share a memory of Margaret to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
On Tuesday, July 16, 2013, our gracious Father received his faithful and loving daughter, Margaret Miller Breslin, into His heavenly home. Margaret was born in Pittman, New Jersey on December 28, 1925, to John Rudolph and Lucy (Aiken) Miller. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Benjamin Breslin, a sister, Anna Abba, and brothers, John Miller and Carl Miller. She is survived by her sons William Breslin and his wife Sabra of Troutville, Virginia; Robert Breslin and wife Cathryn of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; granddaughters Carolyn Breslin of Roanoke, Virginia; Alicia Breslin of Brooklyn, New York; grandsons Derek Kolb of Vancouver, BC and Benjamin Breslin of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; sister-in-laws Shirley Miller and Fenna Breslin as well as eight nieces. Margaret packed so much love and energy into her 87 years! She never met a stranger and had a huge heart. She passed on her love of the beach, crabbing, cooking and crafting to her children and grandchildren. After her retirement from Phillips & Simone Realtors in Browns Mills, New Jersey, she became an active member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Virginia Beach, Virginia helping with, among other things, the Braille Press and Food Pantry. The family extends deep appreciation to the staff at Jeanne's Elderly Care in Roanoke, Virginia for the loving care and friendship of the last two years. Margaret will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband Bob at Arlington National Cemetery to take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Good Samaritan Hospice, 2408 Electric Rd, Roanoke, VA 24018 or to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church (Braille Press, Food Pantry), 424 Kings Grant Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23452.
