Roberta Christine Nelms, 57, of Roanoke, Virginia passed away on Saturday July 20, 2013. Roberta was born on May 14, 1956 in Bedford, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her father, Silas Nelms and her brother, Roye Nelms.
She is survived by her mother, Dorothy G. Nelms of Bedford; daughter, Tanya Catron, Roanoke; her sisters Patricia Cunningham and Brenda Nelms, both of Bedford; her brothers Alfred (Linda) Nelms, Roanoke and Charles Nelms, Bedford; grandson, Trevor Catron and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday July 26, 2013 at the New Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, Bedford. Dr. Aaron D. Payne will officiate.
