Obituary of Nicholas Montgomery

Nicholas John Montgomery, 53 of Rocky Mount, passed away on Friday, July 19, 2013. Nick was born in Somerville, New Jersey. He received his Bachelor's Degree from Radford University and earned his MBA from Averett College. He was employed by American National University. He was a devoted husband, a proud father and a loving grandfather. He often said that his greatest accomplishment in this life was his family. Nick had a great sense of humor and was loved by his family, friends, and coworkers. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Patricia, of Rocky Mount, his daughter Elizabeth Page and son-in-law Jeremy and grandsons Ross and Dresden of Salem, his daughters Kirstyn and Savannah of Rocky Mount, his parents Jeanne and Ross Montgomery of Huddleston, his mother-in-law Doris Roberts of Roanoke, his sister Kim Clark of Luray, VA., his sister Jan of Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, and brother Chris of Sarasota, Florida. We invite all to celebrate Nick's life on Monday, July 22 at 7 p.m. at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 1831 Deyerle Road in Roanoke. The service will be officiated by Reverends Bob and Dusty Fiedler. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations in Nick's memory can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
