Obituary of Dennis Decker

Dennis Alan Decker of Roanoke went to be with the Lord on March 19, 2013. He was born March 12, 1953 to his parents, the late Christine and Sam Decker.
Dennis loved playing golf and watching NASCAR racing. He was an awesome husband, dad and paw paw, Dennis was greatly loved by his family and many dear friends.
Surviving are his loving wife, Peggy Jo Decker; son, Michael Decker and wife Kelly; daughter, Tracy Timmons and husband Brian; step daughter, Robyn Smeltzer and husband Kirby; six grandchildren, Kate, Addison, Parker, Coty, Paige and Elizabeth; brother, Buddy Decker; sister, Marilyn Schuelke, along with numerous nephews and a niece.
A special thank you to his wonderful nurse, Patty Patsel and Good Samaritan Hospice. We will be forever grateful for their care and support.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice in his memory.
A memorial service celebrating Dennis's life will be held 11:00am Tuesday, March 26, 2013 in Simpson Funeral Home with Pastor Ken Lane officiating. Family will receive friends following the service.
